The Spiritual Challenge of "All Is One"

Experiencing the energies and influences of the first chakra leads us to a deepening awareness of what our family, mother and father, have given to us as a divinely chosen way to begin our life's journey. These primary relationships have created our personal identity, our behavior patterns, and show us that every choice we make and belief we have affects all of life.

Loyalty, honor and justice are some of the things we learn from our "roots," from our tribe or original family. But what happens when our personal needs exceed the group needs? How do we maintain our personal power in the face of the tribe?

Many women experience the conflict between being a mother and having a life of her own. What is the balance? What are the fears that hold us back from becoming more fully ourselves? What are the familial messages that we carry with us as adults that keep us from fulfilling our soul's deepest desires?

Exploring and Experiencing "Who We Are"

Day 1

Morning session:
In guided meditation, dance/movement, working with mandalas, and personal sharing, we will begin the process of unfolding "who we are" through direct experience with the memories and energies expressed in our first chakra, or root energy center.

Afternoon session:
We will be guided through a shamanic drumming experience to seek our totem, or power animal, and that totem will guide, protect and act as an alter ego doing the workshop. The totem represents a power or wisdom that we are meant to develop, and is a guardian spirit that will continue with us on our wisdom walk.

We will also be introduced to the concept of the Medicine Wheel and explore our particular animal "medicine," using our totem as a focus.

Receiving the Blessing of Entering the Circle

Evening session:
This session culminates in a sacred ritual of Baptism as we acknowledge our emergence into the world community of wisewomen.
